The enchanting temple of Banteay Srei is nearly everyone's
favourite site. It is an exquisite miniature : the special
charm of this temple lies in its excellence of preservation,
small size and delicacy of its intricate decoration carved
in pinkish sandstone that covers the walls like tabestry.
• Banteay Srei is routinely described as a 'precious gem'
and a 'jewel of Khmer art'.
• This monument was the first one restored using the process
of anastylosis
• Its name remind the André Malraux affair in 1923 (*) |

This enchanting temple cannot be compared to anything else.
You can easily spend hours to observe in detail real lace of
flowers and mythology scenes, mostly related to the Ramayana
