As far as Praok is concerned, the
traditional Khmer condiment, it is a paste obtained
by the fermentation of small fishes which are fished
in the Tonlé Sap and other rivers, mixed with
grilled and crushed rice. The smell of raw praok
used to be far from familiar to “barangs”
(foreigners) and even also to some Cambodian people.
However, when praok is well prepared, following the
traditional receipts, you will maybe join the
legendary Khmer Prince and his numerous followers
who found this singular and tasty.
Regarding snorkelling and diving, in this part of
the Gulf of Siam, there are still many places to
discover and many often easy spots, ideal for
beginners as well as for fanatics of the sea life.

islands, superb flora and fauna, are waiting for you
with their a large variety of corals, sea anemones,
sponges, bivalves… and a lot of fishes among them :
groupers, dolphin fishes, rays, not to mention
turtles and barracudas.
Certainly fishermen boats are not well equipped to
offer a high level services on board but to be alone
at anchor facing the beach of an almost desert
island has an unforgettable charm, even more if you
