Caracteristics
|
• This temple,
like its brother the Phnom Bakeng, is of the same style as
the Bakong temple from the Roluos Group, which was built 25
years before.
• The statues of the sanctuaries are today in the Musée
Guimet in Paris but the pedestals are still in place and are
among the most beautiful ones in Cambodia. |
|
Comments
|
• The temple is
badly deteriorated, eroded by the damp winds of the Tonle
Sap but the visit remains interesting to enjoy the view over
the Tonle Sap Lake, its surroundings and its schools of
birds, particularly at the sunset.
• I recommend this site preferably to his brother the Phnom
Bakeng, more known and therefore often overcrowded,
particularly at the sunset. |
