Contrary to its modern name which means « Royal Bath », an inscription from the 10th century precise that « water is accumulated for the good of every creatures except the elephants, dike breakers».

• This baray always contains water and is now used as a pool by children
• It reminds of some perspectives of Versailles like the « Grand Canal »
